Ernestine Moser Tilley

Mrs. Ernestine "Teen" Moser Tilley, 95, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Tilley was born March 28, 1918, in Surry County, to the late Henry and Titia Doss Moser. She was a homemaker and a dedicated pastor's wife. Ernestine was a member of the Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church and a member of the Mount Airy Quilters Guild. Mrs. Tilley is survived by a daughter, Diane Tilley Jester of Yadkinville; a son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Annette Tilley of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren and their spouses, Erica Tilley, Adrianne and Chris Hetrick, Kyle Tilley, and Chad and Katrina Jester; and four great-grandchildren, Dylan Hetrick, Nolan Hetrick, Andrew Jester, and Aleah Jester. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tilley was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Jiles Tilley; a son Gary Tilley; a son-in-law, Jerry Jester; four sisters, Elsie McHone, Ella Cox, Thelma Jones, and Elva Moser; and a brother, Cletius Moser. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Neil Pressley, the Rev. J.P. Sizemore, the Rev. Harold Cox, Mr. Bob McHone, and the Rev. Darrell Wykes officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
