Ernie Dallas Leonard

Mr. Ernie Dallas Leonard, 77, of Cana, VA passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mr. Leonard was born in Carroll County on January 23, 1946, to the late Harmon and Lannie Combs Leonard.  He was a retired electrician and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.  Mr. Leonard proudly served our country in the United States Army.  He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah Leigh Leonard, Karleen and Allan Pennington, Jennifer and Jake Poling; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and one on the way; a sister and brother-in-law, Rita Kay and Wayne Boyd; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry Steve and Sue Leonard; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Leonard was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Ronald Leonard.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Edwards officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the church.  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017.  Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
