Estel Glenn "Wild Thang" Love

Mr. Estel Glenn Love, age 66 of Pilot Mountain, passed away Wednesday morning December 20, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born February 1, 1957, in Carroll County to the late Jackson Cody Love, Sr. and Hassie Arlene Ayers Love.  He retired as a fixer from Hanes Brand after many years of service.  “Wild thang” loved to ride his motorcycle with his wife.  He is survived by his wife, Teresa Darlene Allen Love of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eric Glenn Wallace of Texas, and Brian Leon McMillian and wife Sandi of Moneta, VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Sue Barber and husband Daryl of Greensboro, NC; five grandchildren, Nick McMillian and Kameryn McMillian both of Moneta, VA, James Barber, Jenny Barber, and Chris Barber all of Greensboro, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annie and Bill Edwards, and Mina Hiatt both of Mount Airy, NC, Janie and Charlie Warner of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Kitty and Rick Foreman of Winston-Salem, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Davis and Myrtle Love, Harvey Love, and Adam Love all of Mount Airy, Jackson and Karen Love of Ararat, VA, and Richard and Trish Love of Washington state; and several other family and friends.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Love was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Pearlie Love and Davis and Mary Ayers.  Funeral services will be on Saturday December 23, 2023, at 11:00am in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Israel Gwyn and Pastor Pete King officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Missionary Church Cemetery in Cana, VA.  The family will receive friends on Friday evening December 22, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Moody Funeral Home.   A special thank you to the staff at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, for all of their love and compassion shown to Mr. Love and the Love family.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
