Ethel Jean Freeman Raith

Mrs. Ethel Jean Freeman Raith, age 89 of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday February 7, 2015 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Raith was born in April 29, 1925 in Surry County to the late Charlie Wade and Beatrice Vernon Freeman and was retired as owner and operator of Ethel's Beauty Shop. Surviving are one daughter Jeanne Dorsette of Mt. Airy, two grandchildren Lisa Renee Dorsette Lowe and husband Wayne Alan Lowe of Mt. Airy and James Russell Dorsette, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents Mrs. Raith was preceded in death by her ex-husband Robert Raith, one sister Gladys Golding and by her son-in-law Jimmy Dorsette. Funeral services will be held Monday February 9, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Richard Loman with burial to follow in the Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
