Eugene John Thompson

Mr. Eugene John Thompson, 65, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. Thompson was born July 14, 1945, in Maryland, to Dave and Maude Gregg Thompson. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Sweet Thompson of the home; a daughter, Karen Carpenter of West Palm Beach, FL; two stepdaughters, Rebecca Miller of Presque-Isle, ME, and Dorothy Miller of Mount Airy; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Mount Airy Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Richard Loman officiating.
