Eunice Rorrer Goode

Mrs. Eunice Rorrer Goode, age 80, formerly of Stuart, Virginia passed away on April 27, 2023, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Rich Creek, VA.  She was born in Patrick County on March 3, 1943, to the late Jessie and Alice Chaney Rorrer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, James Everett Goode, two brothers, Marvin C. Rorrer and Buren L. Rorrer; one brother-in-law, Carter Bross; mother-in-law, Opal Hall, one sister and brother-in-law, Gloria Moran and husband, Marvin; one nephew, Junior Rorrer, and one niece Susan Moran Wells.  Eunice enjoyed attending church services at Heritage Hall as long as she was able.  She will be remembered for her deep love of her family and enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandma, great-grandmother; cherishing every moment spent with her family.

Left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Goode are her three children, Shelby Stevens and husband, Rick of Stuart, Anita Hylton and husband, Billy of Patrick Springs; and one son, Kenneth Goode of Stuart; three grandchildren, James Stevens and wife, JoAnn; Kristie Nance and husband, Bobby, and Beth Terifay and husband, Russell; six great-grandchildren, Kathleen Stevens, Jeremiah Stevens, Carl Stevens, Loegan Clifton, Autumn Terifay and baby Terifay; one sister, Vera Rorrer Bross; one sister-in-law, Brenda Hall Sharpe; nieces and nephews, Judy Bross Lawson, Arthur Bross, Patricia Rorrer, Gary Newman, and Steven Moran; one aunt, Clemmie Chaney; and a host of cousins and friends.

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Goode will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Bishop Dwayne Pruitt and her grandson, James Stevens officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home with funeral to follow the visitation.
