Mrs. Evelyn Elizabeth "Betty" Crissman Lawson age 66 of 1015 Renee Lane, Westfield, NC wife of Mr. Edward Lawson passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She was born March 27, 1940 in Surry County to the late Samuel Francis and Sallie Lawson Crissmann. She was retired from Surry Industries, was a homemaker and was a member of Slate Mountain Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Edward Lawson, of the home, a daughter and friend, Carolyn Hamliton and Mark Brown of Pinnacle, NC, two sons and two daughters-in-law, Samuel Dale and Veronica Steele, Westfield, NC, John Henry and Karen Steele, Pinnacle, NC, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren a sister, Lettie Hiatt, Ararat, NC, a brothers and four sisters-in-law, William and Lucille Crissman, Pilot Mountain,. NC, Edith Crissman, Mt. Airy, NC, Shirley and Lucille Crissman both of Siloam, NC, In addition to Mrs. Lawson's parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack, Esker George and Carrie Crissman., Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 2, 2006 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by High Priest Jim Hall and Rev. Ricky Martin. Burial will follow in the Slate Mtn. Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy. On line condolences may be at www.moodyfuneralservices.com
