Mr. Everett Wayne Felts, 44, of 107 Partridge Street, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Felts was born September 18, 1967, in Surry County, to Shirley Gullatt Felts and the late Everett Lonzo Felts. Wayne and his father obtained their GED from Surry Community College at the same time. Mr. Felts was a ASE certified Parts Pro. Mr. Felts was former owner and operator of Felts Flea Market and employed by WLA Trucking. He is survived by his wife, Sandra McMillian Felts of the home; a son, Wayne Everett Felts of Mount Airy; two nieces, Shawna Marie Felts and Lisa Gail Felts, both of Mount Airy; his mother, Shirley Gullatt Felts of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Eric Lane and Kimberly Felts of Mount Airy; his mother-in-law, Rosie Ferguson of Mount Airy; a "special aunt," Peggy Hensley of Mount Airy; a close cousin, Tim Watson of Mount Airy; his "special buddy," Alexander Newman of Mount Airy; and his cat, Frisky. In addition to his father, Mr. Felts was preceded in death by a brother, John Paul Felts; his grandparents, Charlie and Lola Felts and Mary Emma Gullatt; and his father-in-law, Haskell McMillian. The funeral service will be held Monday, July 16, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy and conducted by family members. Burial will follow in the Gullatt Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
