Faith Virginia Daniel Hawks

Mrs. Faith Virginia Daniel Hawks, 92, of Mt. Airy passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Carroll County on March 24, 1922 to the late Reuben and Margaret Jane Holderfield Daniel. Mrs. Hawks was a retired inspector in the textile industry and was a member of Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Puckett of Mt. Airy; two sons and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Linda Hawks, Ronald Hawks all of Mt. Airy; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Thomas of Mt. Airy; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hawks was preceded in death by her husband, John Hawks; a son-in-law, Jim Puckett; a daughter-in-law, Mozelle Hawks; a grandchild, Melissa Beasley; nine brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Woodie Edwards and Elder V.J. Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
