Faith Joyce Shinault

Miss Faith Joyce Shinault, 76, of Pinnacle, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Golden Living Center in Mount Airy. Miss Shinault was born April 11, 1938, in Surry County, one of thirteen children born to the late Boson and Pearl Hawks Shinault. She retired as a knitter from Kentucky Derby Hosiery after many years of service. She is survived by three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ruby Lucille Shinault and Bonnie and Bob Rowinsky, all of Mount Airy, and Mabel and Paul Beck of Stanleyville; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Shinault was preceded in death by six sisters, Mary Lynn Ray, Beatrice Virginia Wall, Violet Draper Mitchell, Betty Adeline Kiger, Wilma Phoebe Marion, and Evelyn Lina Shinault; and three brothers, John Daniel Shinault, Rufus Junior Shinault, and Ted Glenn Shinault. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at 2:00 PM at Pine Hill Friends Meeting Cemetery, with the Rev. Rickey L. Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
