Fannie Virginia Weddle

Mrs. Fannie Virginia Gunnell Weddle, 90, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018.  She was born February 7, 1928, in Surry County, to the late Roosevelt and Emma McCraw Gunnell.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister and a dear friend, who will be dearly missed.  Among the many who will always cherish her memory are a daughter, Phyllis Love; a son and daughter-in-law, Sonny and Linda Smith; four grandchildren, April Branham, Susan Grey, Jerry Love and his wife, Sandra, and Joseph Love and his wife, Lea; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anice Graham and Betty Leonard; a brother, Gary Gunnell; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weddle was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Weddle; a son, Ronald Weddle; two sisters, Lillian Gunnell and Clem Lawrence; and a brother, Raymond Gunnell.  The family will receive friends Sunday, December 16, 2018, at Moody Funeral Home from 12:30 until 1:30 PM.  Funeral services will be private.
