Felipa Almazan Najera

Felipa Almazan Najera, 62, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday morning, August 25, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Felipa was born August 23, 1958, in El Canton, Mexico, the daughter of Sotera Najera and the late Rafael Almazan.  She was employed at Wayne Farms in Dobson and was a member the Catholic Church.  She is survived by five daughters, Sindy Del Barba (Alan Del Barba), Cristal Trinh (Brian Trinh), Jazmine Salgado, Yolanda Salgado (Jose Antunez), and Anahi Salgado; five grandchildren; her mother, Sotera Najera; four sisters; and seven brothers.  Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a graveside celebration of Felipa’s life will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Elizabeth Minoso officiating.  Attendees are requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  No formal visitation will be held.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
