Flora Mae McGhee Monday

Mrs. Flora Mae McGhee Monday, 93, of Mount Airy, passed away early Sunday morning, July 7, 2013, at Dunmore Plantation in Dobson. Mrs. Monday was born August 1, 1919, in Durham County, the daughter of the late Ernest and Alma Hodges McGhee. Flora is survived by her beloved children, Peggy, Annette, Douglas, and Shelby. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Monday was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Paul Monday. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens Mausoleum. There will not be a formal visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030; or Dunmore Plantation, 515 West Kapp Street, Dobson, NC 27017.
