Frances Josephine Macemore Doby

Mrs. Frances Josephine Macemore Doby, 90, of Lowgap, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Pruitt Health in Elkin.  Mrs. Doby was born October 22, 1932, in Yadkin County, to the late Marvin Winfield and Alice Sizemore Macemore.  She was a retired beautician, who had won several trophies during her career.  She was a loving, sweet person, who always had a smile on her face.  Mrs. Doby is survived by a nephew, Paul Butcher (Bonnie); a niece, Shirley Ladd; as well as a host of other nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Doby was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Doby; two sisters, Betty Macemore Ford and Helen Macemore Butcher; and a brother, Jack Macemore.  No formal visitation will be held.  A private graveside service will be held for the family.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
