Frank Edward Kovach

Mr. Frank Edward Kovach, 76 of Mount Airy, NC, passed away on Thursday afternoon August 28, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born August 13, 1949, in Logan County, WV to the late Steven J. Kovach, Sr. and Wilma Brown Kovach. Mr. Kovach proudly served our country in the US Army and retired from the coal mines of West Virginia. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Vivian Lee Thomas Kovach of the home; two sons, Steven Lee Kovach and Christa, and David Anthony Kovach; stepson, Timothy Aaron Jenkins; step daughter, Amanda Rose Cooke and David; numerous grandchildren; two step grandchildren; sisters, Mary Francis Stevens and Brenda Kay New; brothers, Billy Ray Kovach and Thomas Darrell Kovach; and by several other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kovach was preceded in death by a son, Frank Edward Kovach, Jr.; daughter, Lisa Annette Kovach; two sisters, Elizabeth Eleanor Holcomb and Margaret Ann Jarrell; and by three brothers, George Mickey Kovach, Johnny Lee Kovach, and Steven J. Kovach, Jr. Graveside services will be held on Saturday September 6, 2025, at 2:00pm in The People’s Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday September 6, 2025, from 12:00 until 1:30pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Kovach family.
