Franklin Raymon "Frank" Dollyhite, Sr.

Mr. Franklin “Frank” Raymon Dollyhite, 89 of Mount Airy, passed away on Wednesday morning, June 17, 2026, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy. He was born November 26, 1936, in Stokes County, to the later Lacy Earnest Dollyhite and Hester Leora Pike Dollyhite. He was a member of Slate Mountain Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years, Frances Bowman Dollyhite of the home; son, Franklin Raymond “Junior” Dollyhite, Jr.; a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Bobby Ray Lambert; a sister-in-law, Jacqueline “Jackie” Dollyhite; and several other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dollyhite was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Denise Annette Dollyhite; two sisters, Patty Jean Dollyhite and Angeline Hester Dollyhite Jessup; and by a brother, Charles Dollyhite. The funeral service will be held on Monday June 22, 2026, at Slate Mountain Baptist Church at 2:00pm with Pastor Chris McMillian officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday at the church from 1:00 until 2:00pm. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
