Frederick Phipps (Freddy) Johnson

Mr. Frederick Phipps (Freddy) Johnson, age 60, of Mount Airy died at his home October 12, 2015. Mr. Johnson was born in Surry County, February 6, 1955 the son of the late William Henry and Ruby Phipps Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a truck driver and a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Airy. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Johnson and James Johnson; one brother, Billy Johnson. In addition to his parents Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his wife, Vanessa Johnson. A graveside service will be held Friday October 16, 2015 at Oakdale Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Rev. Trent Lyons officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Moody Funeral Service is serving the Johnson family.
