Freida Combs Semones

Mrs. Freida Combs Semones, age 85, of Mt. Airy passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born on December 28, 1940 in Carroll County to the late Howard and Goldie Jones Combs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 67 years, Cassell Semones; children, Marty Semones (Robin); grandchildren, Ashley Semones (James), Brandon Semones (Sunie); great-grandchildren; Cali Semones, one on the way, Mary Semones; sister, Marilyn Hill; brothers, Doug Combs and Rodney Combs. In addition to her parents Mrs. Semones was preceded in death by a sister, Lovelene Semones; brother, Archie Combs. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Dr. Chris Benfield. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time for the service at the funeral home.
