Gail Mavis Edwards

Mrs. Gail Mavis Edwards, 76, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 22, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born December 29, 1948, in Grayson County, VA to the late Edgar John Edwards and Nellie Pearl Burcham Edwards. She retired from Western Electric/AT&T after many years of dedicated service. Left to cherish her memory are a sister, Ruby Tuttle; one brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Rose Edwards; several nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, James Claude Bullins Edwards, sister, Opal Walters, and brothers, Lonnie, Reece, Keith, Vincent, Evan, Homer, Lionel, and Dean Edwards. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Crooked Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
