Gary Lee Butcher

Mr. Gary Lee “Bo" Butcher, 67, of Westfield, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Butcher was born April 16, 1948, in Surry County, to the late Arthur and Clara Mae Johnson Butcher. He is survived by a daughter, Wannetta Butcher George; a son-in-law, Alton George Jr.; a grandson, Zackary Lee George; and three nieces, Becky Butcher Gammons and Megan Martin, both of Mount Airy, and Amanda Paige Gammons of Cana, VA. He also leaves behind a sister, Brenda Bowman of Mount Airy; two brothers, Ronald Butcher and Danny Butcher, both of Mount Airy; and a special friend, Wanda Faye Butcher. In addition to his parents, Mr. Butcher was predeceased by a granddaughter, Angel Marie George; two sisters, Faye Smith and JoAnn Williams; three brothers, Jackie Wayne Butcher, James Butcher, and Teddy Gray Butcher; and a half-brother Curtis Butcher. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Butcher Family Cemetery, with the Rev. Tony Hutchens officiating. There will not be a formal visitation.
