Gene Dale Jones

Mr. Gene Dale Jones, 48 of Mt. Airy passed away unexpectedly at his home January 10, 2015. He was born in Surry County on February 3, 1966. Mr. Jones is survived by a daughter Tara Jones of Mt. Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Ashley Jones; two granddaughters, Oceah Leann Smith and Ansley Madelynn Jones; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Charlie Platt of Brooklyn, OH, Patricia Hooten of Cleveland, OH and Martha and Ogene Bennett of Mt. Airy; brothers and sister-in-law, Winfield Lafferty, Jr. and wife, Donna of Seth WV and Kerry Jones of Mt. Airy; many special friends, nieces and nephews. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Jones, Elizabeth Hitt and Winfield Robert Lafferty, Sr.. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
