George "Shannon" Curry

George Shannon Curry, age 55, formerly of Stuart, passed away on Saturday, October 3rd, at Johnson City Medical Center in Tennessee.

Shannon was born on February 9th, 1971, to the late George E. Curry and Nancy H. Curry of Ridgeway, VA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Tina Curry, and his brother, Carl Curry.

Shannon worked as a Machine Operator at Hooker Furniture in Martinsville, VA, Shaw Industries in Stuart, VA, and Weiland Copper Products in Pine Hall, NC. In his free time, Shannon loved to watch anything Sci-Fi, especially Babylon 5. His wonderful sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Shannon is survived by his wife, Kristi Hall Curry of Stuart, VA; one brother, Terry Curry of Mexico; one daughter, Mary Catherine Curry of Martinsville, VA; three sons, Hunter Curry of Martinsville, VA, Alex Curry of Reidsville, NC, and Ethan Curry, of Stuart, VA. In addition, three grandchildren and a fourth on the way.
