George Michael "Mike" Hauser

After a tenacious battle with cancer, George Michael Hauser, known as “Mike” or “Hooz” by many, passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 66 with his daughter, Jessica, by his side. Mike is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Hauser and Jessica Hauser-Flinchum and their spouses, Aysha Bodenhamer and Kenneth Flinchum; cherished grandchildren, Lenna and Lincoln Flinchum and Hazel Hennessey; close friend, Sarah Hauser; sister, Bonnie Parker and her husband Mike Parker; and extended family. A memorial service will be held at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, NC on Friday, September 19th at 4:30 pm. Following the service, Jessica and Kenneth Flinchum will host a celebration of life beginning at 6:00 pm at their home, 641 Cody Trail, Dobson, NC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Mike’s friends will remember him for his strength and conviction, and his family will remember him for his perseverance, his unwavering support, and his presence at every softball game, graduation, birthday, and family gathering.
