George Milton Johnson

Mr. George Milton Johnson, 73, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Surry County on November 19, 1941 to the late Robert Milton and Juanita Reeves Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Culler Johnson; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Lucio Rico; grandchildren and spouse, Andrew and Brandy Johnson, Elizabeth Rico, Sarah Rico, Laura Rico; great grandchildren, Caleb Johnson and Jerald Johnson; a sister, Alma Danley; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Mary Sue Johnson; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Johnson; a sister, Martha Wilson; a brother, Jimmy Johnson; a brother-in-law, James Danley. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Indian Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Floyd, and the Rev. Frank Danley officiating. Burial will follow in Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00 AM until time for the service at the church. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
