Georgia Evelyn Throckmorton Davis

Mrs. Georgia Evelyn Throckmorton Davis, age 95, passed peacefully Sunday evening, June 22, 2025, at Bermuda Commons of Davie County. Mrs. Davis was born in Surry County on July 27, 1929, to the late William Throckmorton and Kate Gravely Throckmorton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, she’ll be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Davis retired from Spencer’s, after many years of service there. She had strong faith and was always devoting her time at her church, Salem Fellowship Church. Mrs. Davis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Moseley and Russell; daughter-in-law, Melissa Davis; grandchildren and their spouses, Autumn Davis, Shane Moseley and BillieLynn, Melody Moseley-Cozart and Logan, Sarah McCollum and Carson, Katie Spicer; great grandchildren, Georgia Cozart and Ellis Cozart; sister-in-law, Eddie Thomas. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Dean Davis; son, William Edwin Davis; infant sisters, Virgie, Ruth, and Gertha Throckmorton; brothers, Clyde, Jack and Johnny Throckmorton. A graveside service to honor Mrs. Davis will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery, with the Rev. Jack Danley officiating. There will be no formal visitation held. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to Salem Fellowship Church 2591 Wards Gap Road, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
