Georgia Lee Chandler Webb

Ms. Georgia Lee Chandler Webb, 88, of Mount Airy, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Northern Regional Hospital. Ms. Webb was born July 16, 1936, in Surry County, one of three daughters born to the late Howard and Nellie Alma Niston Chandler. Georgia dedicated many years of her professional life to Delta Air Lines, where she worked as a reservationist. Known for her kind voice, calm demeanor, and commitment to excellent customer service, she helped thousands of travelers navigate their journeys with ease and confidence. Her career was marked by loyalty, professionalism, and deep pride in her work. She is survived by her sister, Lassie Chandler Hardy; her nieces and nephews, Robin and Tim Hodgin, Erin and Justin Johnson, and Tanner and Stephanie Hodgin; and her great-nephew, Troy Johnson. In addition to her parents, Ms. Webb was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Chandler Young; and a brother-in-law, Claude J. Hardy. In keeping with her wishes, no formal visitation or service will be held. She will be laid to rest with her parents at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love, care, and compassion shown by the staff and volunteers at Northern Regional Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
