Gerald McCoy

Mr. Gerald “Jerry” McCoy, age 90, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday morning, November 26, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mr. McCoy was born in Calhoun County, Michigan, to the late William James and Carmen Setser McCoy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Marie Gordon and Richard Jr.; daughter-in-law, Von McCoy; grandchildren, Richard Gordon III, Casey Gordon, and Stephanie Wood. In addition to his parents, Mr. McCoy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathryn Mae Thompson McCoy; son, Aaron Michael McCoy. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
