Gertrude Annie Bledsoe Sheppard

Mrs. Gertrude Annie Bledsoe Sheppard Age 73 of Mt. Airy NC. passed away Wednesday morning June 27, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Sheppard was born July 19, 1938 in Rockingham County to the late Roger and Betty Chipman Bledsoe and was a CNA with Home Health Care. Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-law Mark Johnson of the home and Henry and Teresa Johnson of Mt. Airy, six grandchildren Brooke Honeycutt, Paige Honeycutt, Timmy Johnson, Jennifer Johnson, Brady Johnson and Andrew Johnson, two great grandchildren Bryson Ayers and Brylie Creed, two sisters and brother-in-law Shirley Fletcher of Walkertown and Connie and Albert Anders of Ararat, NC. and by two brothers and sisters-in-law Gaither and Brenda Bledsoe and Ronnie and Sandra Bledsoe all of Ararat, NC. In addition to her parents Mrs. Sheppard was preceded in death by two daughters Ann Honeycutt and Melissa Jan Johnson. Funeral services will be held Friday June 29, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Rev. Terry Johnson and Rev Jackie Danley with burial to follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 P.M. until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home.
