Mr. Gilbert Thomas Muzquiz, 77, of 503 Mountain Valley Road, Lambsburg, VA, passed away Monday night, April 25, 2011, at his home. Mr. Muzquiz was born November 9, 1933, in Coehuila, Mexico, son of the late Pedro and Sara Eloisa Jimenez Muzquiz. Gilbert retired as an airplane mechanic from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carrie Sue Melton Muzquiz of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Eloise Sue Muzquiz and Richard Smith of Plano, TX, Anita Ann Muzquiz Blevins and Max Blevins of Mouth of Wilson, VA, and Christina Muzquiz Harrold and Tommy Harrold of Lambsburg, VA; four grandchildren, Alicia Davis and her husband, Jason, of Laurel Springs, and Marissa Tate, Cayla Tate, and Autumn Tate, all of Lambsburg, VA; a great-grandchild, Madison Davis of Laurel Springs; a sister, Beatrice Sepulveda and Rene of Eagle Pass, TX; and a brother, Richard Muzquiz of Moore, TX. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy will be in charge of the cremation and arranging the burial to take place in Moore, TX. There are no local services planned; however, the family will receive friends at their home at any time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030; Saint Augustine Catholic Church, P.O.
