Glenda Marshall Carter

Ms. Glenda Marshall Carter went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2024, at the Levine Dickson Hospice Home in Charlotte.  She was born in Surry County on November 21, 1952, to the late Verlon and Virginia Marhsall.   She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Marshall and Roy Lee Thomas.  Those left behind are her children, Kenny Marshall, Michell Speas and Shane Sawyers, all of King, L. Harrison Berrier of Las Vegas Nevada, Lisa Marie Berrier of King; J.C. Carter of Denver; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Arlis Thomas and Francee Rebecca Taylor of Mount Airy, Judy Fulda and Roy Hodges of Mount Airy, and Janice and C.W Newman of Dobson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Ms. Carter was a long-standing member of Denver United Methodist Church in Denver, N.C.  She loved being a mother as well as a private caregiver.  She lived a very active life, she especially loved the beach and dancing, Lincoln County Senior City Tournaments, track and field, pool, bowling and corn hole.  There will be no formal visitation.  Services will be held on March 10, 2024, at Denver Community Cemetery.  Good Samaritan Funeral Home in Denver is providing arrangements.  Reverend Steve Autrey and Reverend Arlis Thomas will be conducting the service. “Pure in heart.  She will be missed by many.”
