Glenn McMillian

Mr. Glenn McMillian, age 93 of Cana, Virginia passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.  Mr. McMillian was born on August 19, 1928, in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Samuel Cassell and Laura Elizabeth Dawson McMillian.  Glenn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Surviving are his three daughters and sons-in-law, Gaye McMillian Nichols and husband Denny, Pamela McMillian Hartgrove and husband William; one son, Glenn Calvin McMillian, one son-in-law, Gary Haynes; seven grandchildren, Denny Nichols, Jr, Steven Nichols, G.L. Haynes and Candace, Misty Easter and Marty, Glen Donald McMillian, Chasity McMillian, David Hartgrove; seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Opal McMillian Thomas; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Clinton McMillian and Gaye, Clayton McMillian and Darlene, and Ross McMillian; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. McMillian was preceded in death by his wife, Mabeline Lillian Haynes McMillian; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann McMillian; Linda McMillian Haynes; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald McMillian and Cathy; two sisters, Eulala McMillian Dawson, Mabel McMillian Utt; two brothers, Dwight McMillian, and Earl Eden McMillian. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Oscar Hill officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
