Grace Ulene Woodie Holt

Mrs. Grace Ulene Woodie Holt, 87, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Waddell Nursing Center in Galax, VA. Mrs. Holt was born March 9, 1922, in Ashe County, daughter of the late Buel Green and Bessie Long Woodie. She retired from Spencer's Inc. Surviving are a daughter, Donnie Aiken of Mount Airy; a son, Ronnie Holt of Mount Airy; two grandchildren, Donie Aiken of Maiden and Troy Beck of Mount Airy; two great-grandchildren, Cassie Aiken and Alex Aiken, both of Maiden; and a brother, Buel Green Woodie, Jr. of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband, George Herman Holt. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at 11:00 AM at Collinstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery, with Brother Don Collins officiating. No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home.
