Mr. Gregory Wright Turner, age 55 of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lynchburg, Virginia, on April 8, 1970, to the late Ned Lee Turner and Elizabeth Ann Wright Turner. Greg grew up in Laurinburg, NC where he attended Scotland High School and was a member of the tennis team. He had a kind heart and a big personality that everyone loved making it hard for him to ever meet a stranger. Greg later moved with his family and worked in the Charlotte area as a machinist. He eventually returned back to his roots in Martinsville, VA where he spent time with his family.

Gregory is survived by his daughter, Megan Murdock, and husband, Ryan of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and two grandchildren, Liam Murdock and Lyza Kate Murdock.

The funeral service for Mr. Turner will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Pastor Joey McNeil officiating. The burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
