Hank Thomas Amos

Mr. Hank Thomas Amos, age 72 of Cana, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Mr. Amos was born in Surry County to the late John and Gracie Collins Amos.  Hank was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.  He was a very talented musician and song writer who will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Sharon Shrader Amos, daughter and son-in-law, Donna Amos Snow and Franklin; five grandchildren, Chris Hawks, Josh and Zacha Peace, Matthew Hawks, Jonathan Snow, Joshua Snow, Nathan Price; three great-grandchildren, Sora, Laelyn, Kaebry; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Glenda and Allen Costellow, Sandra and Lawrence McCoy; and two brothers and sister-in-law, Jason Amos and Wayne Amos and Debbie.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Amos was preceded in the death by a son, Michael Thomas Amos.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 6:00 PM at the River of Life Community Church with Rev. Dud Spencer and Rev. Tommy Vass officiating.  The family will receive friend on Friday, July 22, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the River of Life Community Church.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
