Harvey Junior Tate

Mr. Harvey Junior Tate age 79 of Cana, VA. passed away Tuesday August 28, 2012 at his home. Mr. Tate was born March 8, 1933 in Carroll County to the late Ernest and Viola Edwards Tate and was a Lineman with several Power Company's up and down the south east. Surviving are one daughter Lois Helvey of San Francisco Bay, California, one grandson Elvis Lee Canoy of Fredricksburg, TX., two great grandchildren, Sekoyah Ann Marie Canoy and Sheyanne Cassey Canoy, two sisters Dorsie Palmer of Cana and Orene Cagle of Mt. Airy, one brother Bobby Tate of Ararat, VA., several cousins and many friends. In addition to his parents Mr. Tate was preceded in death by his son Darrell Tate. Graveside services will be held Friday August 31, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Rocky Ford Christian Church Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Ray Fleming. There will be no formal visitation at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
