Helen Faye Scott

Mrs. Helen Faye Clark Scott, age 93, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Priddy Manor Assisted Living in King. She was born on April 4, 1932, in Henry County, Virginia, to the late Samuel David and Elizabeth Truitt Clark. Mrs. Scott is survived by her grandchildren, Scott Frye and wife Jennifer, Todd Frye and wife Michelle, Lynette Connelly, Melissa McMillian and husband Anthony; 12 great-grandchildren; 24 great great-grandchildren; surviving siblings and spouses, sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Shin, Frances Ey and Bruce, Geneva Yohe; brother, Donnie Clark. In addition to her parents Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Harding Scott; daughter, Margaret Ann Frye; sisters and brother-in-law, Annie Donald and Doug, Nellie Carter, Judy Dobson, brother, David Clark; brother-in-law, Donnie Shinn. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Dr. David Sparks. Due to the extreme heat the family will not be going in procession to the cemetery, but Mrs. Scott will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 PM until the time for the service at the funeral home.
