Helen Annabelle Haynes Scott

Mrs. Helen Annabelle Haynes Scott, 62, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at her home. She was born in Surry County on September 16, 1953 to the late Arthur and Nonnie Hall Haynes. Mrs. Scott was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Kevin Scott; a granddaughter, Cara Leigh Scott; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Rex Arrington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Ester Haynes, Gary and Gail Haynes, Ronald Haynes; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Scott; a son, Greg “(Lil’) Greg” Scott, two brothers, Kenneth “Cotton” Haynes, and Arthur Maynard Haynes. Funeral services will be held Friday January 8, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Salem Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. David Sechrist officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Salem Fork Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
