Ila Lucille McMillian Lambert

Mrs. Ila Lucille McMillian Lambert, 88, of 200 Clifford Lane, Mount Airy, passed away Friday morning, May 27, 2011, at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Lambert was born March 31, 1923, in Surry County, daughter of the late Joyce Denny and Sally Ann Hawks McMillian. She was a homemaker and a member of Turkey Ford Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Annie Lee and Paul Finney of Jonesville and Donna Lynn and David Gammons of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Randell and Marilyn Lambert of Dobson; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beulah Whitt of Sanford. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lambert was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Randell Lambert; four sisters, Foy McMillian, Linnie Hamlin, Inez East, and Carnie Marion; and two brothers, Tom McMillian and Robert Lee McMillian. The funeral service will be held Monday, May 30, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Turkey Ford Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Lambert and the Rev. Steven W. Corn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Turkey Ford Baptist Church.
