Mrs. Ina Patricia “Maw Maw” Riddle (née Felts-Boyer), age 81, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, in Lowgap, North Carolina. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Ina lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service to others. Born on July 3, 1943, in Galax, Virginia, Ina was the daughter of Elizabeth Musser Boyer and Fred Johnson Boyer. She graduated from Galax High School and went on to dedicate 38 years of her professional life as a Inspector at Proctor Silex, where her diligence and commitment were deeply valued. After retiring from her long-standing career, she continued to pour her energy into what mattered most—her family and her faith. Ina’s devotion to the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. She sang beautifully in the choir at Blue Ridge Chapel in Pipers Gap, Virginia; led and sang in the choir at Central View Baptist Church in Mount Airy, North Carolina; and was a cherished member of Westside Baptist Church in Mount Airy. At Westside Baptist, she not only sang in the choir but also participated actively in the women’s prayer group. Her voice lifted spirits and brought comfort to many. Her unwavering faith was evident to all who knew her, it guided her actions, shaped her relationships, and inspired those around her. Ina was a light in every life she touched, a woman of deep faith, gentle strength, and boundless love. Her smile could brighten even the darkest day. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen and valued. Whether through a kind word or a warm embrace, she left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her devoted husband Leon Riddle; her son Teddy Felts and his wife Trudy; stepson Randy Riddle and his wife Sherry; grandchildren Caden Felts, Micah Felts, Christopher Riddle, Sampson Riddle, and Cassidy Riddle; great-grandchildren Tracy Riddle, Marcus Riddle, and Connor Riddle; her identical twin sister Joan Bryant; nephew Mark Bryant and his wife Jessica; niece Kimberly Leftwich and her husband Scott; nephew Brian Felts and his wife Yvonne. As well, as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews throughout the country. Ina was preceded in death by her first husband Martin Odell Felts; their son Martin Odell Felts Jr.; her parents, Elizabeth Musser Boyer and Fred Johnson Boyer; and brothers Ronald Boyer and Zane Boyer. She also mourned the passing of her brother-in-law Bob Bryant. Ina’s legacy is one of love lived out loud, in song, in prayer, in quiet acts of kindness that rippled through generations. She was an extraordinary mother, wife, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend. Those who were blessed to be part of her life are forever changed by the example she set. Though she has departed this world, Ina’s presence will never fade. We will carry her memory in our hearts always and strive to live with the same grace, compassion, and unwavering faith that she so generously shared with us all. A funeral will be held on June 15, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Westside Baptist Church, 107 Spring Creek Trail, Mount Airy, NC. Visitation will begin at 2:00. Funeral is set to begin at 3:00 but will be adjusted if needed to allow all visitors time to visit. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Chapel Baptist Church in Galax, VA.
