Ira Bruce Chapman

Mr. Ira Bruce Chapman, age 62, of Dobson, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his residence. He was born January 13, 1964, in Man West Virginia, to the late Thomas Chapman and late Sylvia Brewster Chapman. Bruce was a loving husband, father and brother who worked building log homes and was also a steel worker.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Tammy Snow Chapman; stepdaughter, Rashelle Nichole Shores (Adam); grandchildren, Kate Shores and Riley Shores; sisters, Lynn Blankenship (Curtis), Tomi Serfass (Thomas); brothers, Timothy Chapman, and Terry Chapman; and many nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his family of friends along with his four-legged best friend, Brandi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sylvia Cruz and Patricia Anderson; and his brothers, David Chapman, Thomas Chapman Jr., Virgil Ball, and Raymond Brown.

Per Bruce’s wishes, there will be no formal service held. Moody Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Chapman family.
