Jack Donald Tolbert

Mr. Jack Donald Tolbert, 76, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at his home. Mr. Tolbert was born September 18, 1934, in Surry County, to Virgil and Maggie Lena Johnson Tolbert. He was retired from Spencer's Inc. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Willie Wilburn of Mount Airy; a son, Scott Tolbert of Thomasville; grandchildren, Aubree Wilson, Michelle Lovill, and Heath Wilburn; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Beck and Averie Lovill; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Connie Tolbert of Pilot Mountain. In addition to his parents, Mr. Tolbert was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Carlene Shelton Tolbert; and a sister, Hazel Byrd. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 15, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount airy, with the Rev. David Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
