James Andrew Edwards

Mr. James Andrew Edwards, 84, of Mt. Airy, passed away Friday morning, September 25, 2026, at Lexington Health Care Center. Mr. Edwards was born May 25, 1942, in Carrol County to the late Isaac and Elizabeth Hawks Edwards. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will surely be missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years; Carol Edwards; daughters, Cathy Williams (Robert), Annette Bowman (Ray), Tammy Meadows (Jerome), Ashton Rojas (Daniel); sons, James Issac, and Stephen Meador; numerous grandchildren; and his extra, Maddalynn Edwards. In addition to his parents Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by a son, Arthur Edwards; sister, Ollie Hawks; brother, Oscar Edwards. There will be no formal services at the funeral home at this time.
