James Ross Buck

Mr. James Ross Buck, age 71 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Buck was born in Knoxville, TN on April 21, 1941 to the late Walter Scott and Genevieve Clark Buck, he was the owner/operator of Southern Emblem Co. and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Surviving is his devoted wife, Kathleen Jones Buck of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Tammy and James C. Jordan of Mt. Airy, one son Michael Ray Buck of Mt. Airy, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, one stepdaughter Kimberly Jones of Mt. Airy, three stepsons Junior Hall and Steven Hall both of Cana and Ted Hall and wife Crystal of Toast, five step grandchildren, one step great grandchild and one brother and sister-in-law Tom and Joyce Buck of Durham. Funeral services will be held Friday April 27, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Solid Rock Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Roy Quesinberry, Rev. Don Collins and Rev. Terry Watson with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 Noon unit time for the service. The family would like to give a special thank you to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative care for all they did for James.
