James George

James Robert George, age 36 of Stuart, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021.  He was born in Patrick County on June 2, 1985.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claude and Ruth Lawson; paternal grandfather, Edward George; and three uncles, Douglas, Terry, and Ray Lawson.  James was very fun loving and outgoing.  He loved to hunt and fish and had worked for Burgess Trucking.          Surviving is his father and stepmother, Roger and Maria George of Pachuta, MS; his mother, Tammy Lawson George of Stuart; paternal grandmother, Barbara Ann George of Alabama; aunts and uncles, Jimmy and Janet Lawson, Arlene and Junior Bullins, Odell and Penny Lawson, Johnny and Stephanie Lawson, Lisa Rakes, Garland Lawson, Duane George, Vicki and Randall Spence, Donna Lawson all of Stuart, Mary and Freddie Parker, Glenn George all of Alabama; and numerous cousins and other family members.          A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 2:00 PM at New Beginning Church, 6547 Dobyns Rd, Claudville, VA 24076, with Pastor Dewayne Troutt officiating.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
