James Terry Golding Sr.

James Terry Golding, Sr, 74, of Lowgap, North Carolina, passed away at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, Saturday, May 24, 2025. Born June 4, 1950, in Surry County, North Carolina, to the late Harold and Era Dickens Golding. James was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he honorably served his country in the Vietnam War. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Caroline Tabelisma Golding; son and daughter-in-law, James Golding Jr. and Jessica; grandchildren, Jaren Golding, and Chloe Hice; sister, Helena Moncus; and brothers, Dickie Golding, and Bruce Golding. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Tina Golding, Christine Lowe, and Georgia Mayes; as well as brother, Garnie Golding. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the Moody-Davis Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 PM. Military Honors by VFW Post 2019 of Mount Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson, NC is serving the Golding family.
