James Franklin Goodnight

Mr. James Franklin Goodnight, age 87, of Beulaville, NC passed away on September 18, 2026, at Autumn Village in Beulaville. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn G. Wright and husband Tom of Beulaville, NC, and Kim G. Feith and husband Joe of Castle Hayne, NC; two grandchildren, Caraline Wright and Courtney Wright; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger and Carol Jarrell, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Loretta and Jim Martin. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Jarrell Goodnight. A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday October 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Ivy Green Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Alex Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Lower Cape Fear Hospice 1414 Physicians Drive Wilmington, NC 28401. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy is serving the Goodnight family.
