James Craig Key

Mr. James Craig Key, 57, of Dobson, passed away Monday evening, June 13, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born February 23, 1954, in Surry County, to Otis James and Geneva Freeman Key. He was the owner and operator of Key's Garage and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his two children, Hannah Key of Dobson and Seth Key of Mount Airy; a grandchild, Paytin Key; his parents, Otis James and Geneva Freeman Key of Dobson; and a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Mose Cockerham of Dobson. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 17, 2011, at 5:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, with the Rev. Trent Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, with Masonic rites by Copeland Masonic Lodge #390 AF and AM. The family will receive friends Friday from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, and other times at his parent's home in Dobson. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Key family.
