Mr. James Richard “Jimmy” Kiebler, Sr., age 77 of Mount Airy, passed away at his home on Thursday August 15, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born February 9, 1947, in Cecil County, Maryland to the late David John Kiebler, Sr. and Edith Marie Bowman Cloud. He was retired from Kiebler Trucking Company and was a member of Union Hill Friends Meeting. Jimmy was very loving man who would give you the shirt off of his back if you asked. Mr. Kiebler was also known as “king of the road”, driving more than 3 million miles from the seat of his 18 wheeler. He loved shooting guns with his grandson and loved his horses. His favorite horse was named Sir James. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Wilma Marie Tickle Kiebler; two daughters and sons-in-law, Candi and Randy Carter, and Jamie and Jay Lorenz; two sons and a daughter-in-law, James Richard Kiebler, Jr., and Duane and Michelle Bartley; seven grandchildren, Dexter Bartley, Michael Bartley, Blake Bartley and fiancé Samantha Hazelwood, Kenny and Savannah Weyrauch, Nate Kiebler, Rebecca Ellington and Taylor Phillips, and Amber Weyrauch and Jeremy Walker; six great grandchildren, Demetrius Phillips, Sebastian Phillips, Carmen Walker, Bjorn Walker, Octavia Walker, and Harley Bartley; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Jane Frye and Robert, and Gail Orsini; brother, Ray Kiebler; and several other family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kiebler was preceded in death by a sister, Carole Christian; and by three brothers, David John “Johnny” Kiebler, Jr., Donald Lee Kiebler, and Henry Kiebler; and also, an infant brother, Harold Kiebler. Funeral services will be held on Sunday August 18, 2024, at 3:00pm at Union Hill Friends Meeting with Pastor Ernest Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday at Union Hill Friends Meeting one hour prior to the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
