James Tandy Pell, Jr.

Mr. James Tandy Pell, Jr. age 79, of Westfield, NC passed away on September 7, 2026. He was born in Surry County, November 30, 1946, the son of the late James Tandy Pell, Sr. and Chassie Lee Ownes Pell. Mr. Pell was retired from the United States Postal Service after many years as a mail carrier and attended Francisco Presbyterian Church. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed working on the family farm. Surviving is his wife of 40 years, Kay Atkins Pell; sons, Richard Tandy Pell (Karen), Robbie Eads (Charity), Will Eads (Lisa); grandchildren, Kaymarie Wilson (Sam), Aydan Mosley (Lance), Thomas Pell; great grandson, Sam Henry Wilson; brothers, Michael Owens Pell, Rick Lynn Pell. A private graveside service will be held at the family farm. Moody Funeral Services of Mount Airy is entrusted with his arrangements.
