James Claude Reece

Mr. James Claude Reece, 87, of Elkin, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024. Born July 10, 1937, to the late Charles and Betty Mouncus Reece. A loving husband, father, brother, and friend, James really was one of the best. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Alice Sue Reece; son, James Tony Reece; sister, Ruth Phillips; and brother, Willie Reece. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Stanley, Barbara Ann Darnell, and Elizabeth Reece; and brothers, Charles Reece Jr., and Homer Reece. There will be no formal visitation. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the New Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the exceptional staff at Pruitt Health for their care towards James. Moody-Davis Funeral Service, in Dobson, NC is serving the Reece family.
